GOD-TRACKING IS LIFE

1 Corinthians 15:15
“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”

Approximately 1,985 years ago there was an earthquake in Jerusalem. Two women had made their way to a tomb on the outskirts of the town when it happened. When they arrived, they discovered the stone that was used to seal the entrance of the grave, was rolled away. An angel appeared to the women. “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said.”

Jesus Christ had been crucified by the Romans on behalf of the Jews. He was surely dead when his body was placed in Joseph’s tomb. But God had planned this auspicious event from the beginning of time. In the Garden, he said to the Serpent, “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.” At the crucifixion the Serpent (Satan) had bruised the heel of the offspring of Eve. But 3 days later, after bearing the wages of sin on the cross, the Son of God bruised Satan’s head when conquered death, rising from the grave. O death, where is your sting?

Scripture says, “’I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans to give you a future and a hope’” It was God’s plan all along to remove the effects of sin through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When we put our faith in Christ’s death and resurrection and confess him as Lord, we gain the hope of a glorious future in God’s purposes from the moment we surrender to Christ. Jesus has promised abundant life – life that begins the moment you accept him as Lord. Because of the resurrection of Jesus, we can enjoy, forgiveness, hope, joy, security, strength and life to the full! So, I ask, have you put your faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus and confessed him as Lord of your life?

DON’T GIVE UP, LOOK UP & PRAY

I believe that Jesus died and rose again and choose to confess him as my personal Lord and Saviour

O heavenly Father, thank you for your plan to rescue me from the wages of sin, which is death. Thank you that Jesus died to take the ages of sin, and that he rose to conquer death. I receive this truth for myself. Forgive me for being flippant about the message of the cross. I believe that Jesus died and rose again and choose to confess him as my personal Lord and Saviour. Come into my life Lord. I give my life to you. Amen.”

If you prayed these words with intent today, I’d love to hear from you. Please email me at dudley@godtracker.co.uk
