Dear God Tracker

Your Times are in his hands

I remember when my wife was pregnant with our children. Those were exciting days. I remember the great anticipation of that big day when Karen would say, “I think it’s time,” and we’d need to grab the pre-packed carryall and rush off to the hospital. I remember too, how long those 9 months seemed. I think they were the longest months of my life! That great wait from the moment I heard the news that I was going to be a dad through the days and week of watching Karen “swell with delight”. I remember the moment I first felt that little kick from inside her womb. The joy! There’s life in that lump, after all! Day by day and week by week I watched as my little one moved and progressed in his/her development.

Then it happened. We were just about to get into bed one week night when Karen stopped dead on her side of the bed. “I think my waters just broke!” she gasped. It was around 11pm. I looked at my watch then back into Karen’s eyes. “What! Now?!” I gasped in return. Hastily and with great trepidation we changed out of our pyjamas, grabbed that formidable holdall and tooth brush and headed for the car. My wife’s time had come. My baby’s arrival was imminent.

No one knows the exact time that a baby will be born and no one knows the exact time life will end. No one knows the moment he will meet his life’s partner or when he will be joined by new friends in the race of life. No one knows the exact instant of his next adventure or disappointment or opportunity. Sometimes we try very hard to plan our movements but the scriptures remind us that, “In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps,” (Proverbs 16:9). I thank God that our times are in his hands.

God-tracking is living by God’s timing.

Every blessing

Dudley

Verse of the Week

Proverbs 16:1
To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue.

Quote of the Week

A Sample of Dudley’s Fave Quotes.

If you want to know why you were placed on this planet, you must begin with God.  You were born by his purpose and for his purpose.” --- Rick Warren

Don’t Give-up, Look-up!

Look-up and Fix Your Eyes On Jesus!

I Commit All I Do To You

Proverbs 16:3
Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

Pray
“Dear God I realise now that all of my life is wrapped up in your purposes for me. As I acknowledge you in all I do, I know that you will direct my paths. So, Lord, I give my plans to you and confess that my times are in your hands. Lead me by your word and your Spirit every moment of my life. I give you the timing of my life: my work, my calling, my relationships, my coming & going, my recreation and in every aspect of my walk. Open and close doors according to your strategy for me and help me to track your will every second, every day and every year. I commit all I do to you. Amen.
