Dear God-tracker

God-tracking is rather setting our minds on God’s supernatural truth

The traffic came to a sudden standstill. A man seemed to appear from nowhere. Suddenly the door of John’s car was ripped open and a strong hand seized his shoulder, pulling him out onto the tarmac. “Get out! I want your car,” said its voice. John scrambled to his feet in protest when suddenly there was a loud crack. He slumped to the pavement. Spontaneously his hand grasped at his stomach. Blood seeped between his fingers. John had been shot by a carjacker.

John lay in the intensive care unit listening to a conversation between his father and a doctor. “You don’t understand Mr Kent, said the doctor. “The bullet has missed his vital organs but John’s intestines have been ruptured. Their contents have been spilled into his system. He will certainly become septic within the next few hours. It’s touch and go. We’ll need to monitor him every minute.” The doctor was accurately describing John’s condition, which was very serious, indeed. “No!” replied his father, “With all respect doctor, you don’t understand. I have prayed for John’s safety and his healing. I believe that God will heal him and he will not become septic. I believe he will soon be home with us.”

God’s word is true and God’s word reveals God’s will. Whatever the Bible says about life and living can be taken to be true for your life. In the Bible it says that, in Christ, we have power to overcome the devil’s power. The Bible also tells us that the devil is the father of lies, in him there is no truth. But Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life,” and “I will do whatever you ask in my name.” In Ephesians it says that, in Christ, we are seated in God’s heavenly realms, and in Colossians that we need to set our minds on things above and not earthly things. Therefore, when it comes to the comparison between natural evidence on earth and God’s supernatural truth in the heavenly realms I know which I’ll believe.

John’s father was not contradicting the physical evidence of the doctor’s prognoses that night in the ICU; he was rather choosing to set his mind on things above and not earthly things. God’s word had revealed God’s will to heal his son and that’s what he chose to believe. John slept peacefully that night while his temperature remained normal. He was discharged from hospital within 5 days and was even well enough to travel a long hall flight within one week.

God bless you.

“God wants us to have the audacity of faith that dares to believe for all that is set forth in the Word.” --- Smith Wigglesworth

Don’t Give Up, Look Up!
ook up and Fix Your Eyes on Jesus!

You are my healing, my provision, my guidance and my sustenance

“Holy God, thank you for your word. Thank you that your word reveals how mighty you are and how, in you, all things are possible. Today I make the choice between believing the natural evidence I see around me and believing the supernatural promises of your word. I choose, therefore, to set my mind on things above and not earthly things by believing your word. Dear God, I step out in faith and believe that you will bring about the answer to my prayers according to your revealed will. You are my healing, my provision, my guidance and my sustenance. In you I trust, alone. Thank you dear God for meeting my needs. Amen.”
