Dear God-tracker
GOD-TRACKING IS BRAVELY FOLLOWING HIS CALL

Ephesians 5:16-17
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
Esther was a very beautiful young woman. She had been selected out of hundreds of thousands of young women from the 127 provinces of Persia to become queen to king Xerxes. Esther was Jewish, a citizen of the covenant people of God. During her time as queen, Haman, one of the king’s officials devised a plan to annihilate the Jews. The queen’s cousin, Mordecai learns of Haman’s plot and beseeches his relative to intercede for her people, saying, “Who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Although queen Esther lived in the luxury and security of the palace, she rose to the challenge set before her and bravely approached the king, unsummoned. To do so, would normally have meant certain death. However, compelled by a higher obligation, she interceded for her people. Her actions resulted in the king’s favour, and the ancestry of the Messiah was spared.
I thank God for Esther. Had she not so bravely laid her life on the line for God’s purposes, Jesus would never have been born and we would not have know God’s grace through his death and resurrection. Although we do not read the name of God in the Bible book of Esther, we do read that she fasted before approaching the king. Esther was willing to seek the purposes of God and lay her life down to fulfil her calling.
God may not be calling you to literally risk your life for his kingdom purposes but I unequivocally believe that you and I need to be willing to bravely seize every opportunity to advance God’s kingdom. We face opposition to preaching and living the message of Christ on many fronts. It’s time to nail our colours to the mast and bravely state, who knows whether I have not been given an opportunity like this for such a time as this.

Help me to wisely make the most of every opportunity, because the days we live in are evil
Pray
“O holy God, you are great and your will is supreme in my life. I humble lay myself down before you to seek your purposes for me. Help me to be brave and willing to go where you send me. Help me to bravely speak your name to my friends and colleagues, telling of your great works in my life. Help me to share the gospel of Jesus and pray for the sick at every opportunity. By your power and Holy Spirit help me to wisely make the most of every opportunity, because the days we live in are evil. Amen.”

What is GodTracker?
GodTracker is a weekly e-mail devotional based on the premise that God has a plan for our lives. His word calls us to seek his will by acknowledging him in all our ways and tracking this plans in faith.
GodTracker owes its origins to an international Christian radio programme produced by Dudley Anderson called, On Track. Although On Track went off-air in 2005, GodTracker has continued to help people track God's plans and purposes for their lives since July 2003.
