Dear God Tracker
God-Tracking Is Enjoying God-Incidences
Karen and I were in a quandary. We were considering emigrating from our homeland, South Africa. It would be a massive step for us as a family and we were uncertain what to do next. Should we wait and do more research or should we set a date and take the plunge? One Saturday afternoon we happened to be chatting in our garden. “Perhaps we should sell our house and rent for a while,” said my dear wife. “I wish God would just give us a sign.” Just then Karen noticed a slip of paper pushed through the gate. “This junk mail drives me crazy,” she said pulling out the leaflet. Then she froze as she read the words, “We want to sell your house.”
As a follower of Christ and a tracker of God’s purposes I do not believe in random coincidences, because the scripture tells us that if we acknowledge the Lord in all our ways then he will direct our paths. Karen and I were indeed, doing this. We’d prayed together and asked God to direct us in our decision making. So when Karen read those words on that nondescript A5 handbill we were completely convinced that the Holy Spirit had planned our conversation to coincide with the junk mail post. The Lord, who designs our lives, had turned a coincidence into a coordinated encounter.
That very month we employed the services of the agent who had posted that advertisement through our gate and put our house on the market.
God-tracking is enjoying God-incidences.
