“Prayer is more than communicating with Creator. Prayer is the process of entering the spirit realm.”

Colossians 3:2
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Prayer is probably the most essential activity one can commit to in his endeavour to seek and track the plans of God. Prayer opens the heart to the purposes of God. Prayer focuses the mind on the presence of God and prayer opens the ears to the voice of God. Reading the word of God is also essential in discovering the plans of God, however, without prayer, Bible reading can be a mere academic exercise. Pray before you read. Read. Pray after you read.

Prayer is more than communicating with Creator. Prayer is the process of entering the spirit realm. We read, for example, that John the Apostle was “in the spirit” on the Isle of Patmos when he received the great Revelation. The other biblical prophets were also “in the spirit” when they received their visions from the Holy Spirit. Jesus was in prayer when it was said that he was “in the spirit.” Paul, writing by the Holy Spirit says that praying in tongues is praying “in the spirit.” Prayer is worship (Jesus taught us to pray by saying, “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name”) and we are told that we worship God “in spirit” and in truth. Therefore, prayer is the gateway to the spirit realm. It is the most spiritual activity you or I can enjoy as we set our minds on things above, not on things on the earth. If we live in the Spirit, through prayer, we will also walk in the Spirit and bear the fruit of the Spirit.

I encourage you today to seek the Lord in prayer. Set time aside to simply open your heart and mind to the voice of the Holy Spirit in quiet, fixing your thoughts on things above. Spend time praying in the Spirit (if you have the gift of tongues). And schedule a few minutes at the start of each day or before bed to bring your anxieties before the Lord in prayer, with thanksgiving. Prayer is more than a momentary activity, it’s a lifestyle!

God-tracking is a life lived in the spirit, through prayer.

SO, DON’T GIVE UP, LOOK UP & PRAY

“Therefore, dear Lord, help me to daily enter the realm of your Spirit through prayer.”

“Dear God., thank you so much for the great privilege of prayer. Prayer is a mystery to me – how my simple and humble words can move the hand of God. Thank you that are willing to hear me when I pray. I believe you are not far off or even sitting in a chair in my bedroom; you are, indeed, living in my mortal body by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, dear Lord, help me to daily enter the realm of your Spirit through prayer. Amen.”
