“He who is in you (by his righteousness) is greater than any catastrophe this world could ever throw at you. Life may seem impossible and complicated for you at this time, but Jesus will deliver you from all your troubles.”

Psalm 34:17
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

If you’re anything like me then, when you read scriptures promising the righteous person good things, you think, “That’s not me. I try to live a good life but I don’t consider myself to be righteous.” But listen to what God’s word says:

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (Read the scriptures below.)

If you know Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord then you are in Christ. If you know Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord then you are a new creation, the old life of sin has been crucified with Christ and the life you now live you live by faith in what he accomplished at Calvary. Jesus was ascribed your sin on the cross so that you could be ascribed God’s righteousness, by faith. You have been saved (delivered) from sin to be made righteous by God’s grace through faith. You are not righteous by your own works. Therefore, it’s not your righteousness that qualifies you to stand on the promises of God. It’s God’s righteousness in you, through Christ, that qualifies you to stand on the promises of God.

When you cry out to him, he hears you. The moment you, righteous child of God, call out to Abba, he brings you relief. There is no pain, no calamity, no crisis greater than the blessings of your God and Father. He who is in you (by his righteousness) is greater than any catastrophe this world could ever throw at you. Life may seem impossible and complicated for you at this time, but Jesus will deliver you from all your troubles. All of God’s promises are yes and amen in Christ for you, O righteous child of God.

SO, DON’T GIVE UP, LOOK UP & PRAY

“I stand on all your promises in Jesus’ name and trust that you will help me through every calamity of life.”

“O great and awesome God, thank you so much for what Jesus did for me. Thank you that he became sin for me so that, by faith, I might be made righteous in you. Today I stand on all your promises made to the righteous person, by faith, in the knowledge that you have removed my unrighteousness and have imputed me with your righteousness. I stand on all your promises in Jesus’ name and trust that you will help me through every calamity of life. Amen.”
