Dear God-tracker
GOD-TRACKING IS FULFILLING YOUR KINGDOM PURPOSES BY GOD’S EMPOWERING GRACE
Psalm 139:16
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
Mike felt so inadequate as he stood before the congregation with his guitar in hand. He’d been the church worship leader for several years but had recently suffered a breakdown. Workload and emotional upheaval had left him feeling totally unqualified to lead God’s people in worship. “I feel so unworthy, Lord,” he said in his mind as he strummed his guitar. The church folk were in deep worship. He couldn’t understand how his leading could be so blessed when he felt so distant from God. “Yes, you are unworthy,” the Holy Spirit whispered back into his mind, “but I’m not!”
That day Mike learned a valuable lesson. He discovered that, no matter how he felt when he ministered, it was not him leading those people, it was the Holy Spirit within him. Mike was only God’s tool used in drawing his people into a place of worship. He realised that it was only by God’s grace that the people were engrossed in worship. God’s grace is God’s doing; and God was doing it through Mike. If Mike had stopped ministering because he felt inadequate, he would have insulted God’s grace.
I think Paul was feeling a little like this when he spoke about his thorn in the flesh. Paul was a great man of God and had received unparalleled revelations from the Lord. He was once caught up into heaven and saw things that he could never describe. Yet, here on earth, he was continually confronted by weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. He pleaded with God to take these away but the Lord simply replied, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
God has a plan and a purpose for your life. If you’ve acknowledged Christ as Lord, then you are part of his Kingdom – God has Kingdom purposes for you! His plan is to bless you and give you a future filled with hope. God’s grace has saved you and God’s grace will empower you to serve him. The devil, on the other hand, is intent on dragging you down in order to prevent you from fulfilling your Kingdom purposes. Do not allow him to do this! Remind him that he was conquered at Calvary and, in Christ, you are more than a conqueror. And when you feel inadequate or unworthy, remember you are not functioning in your own power; you only function by God’s grace. And God’s grace is God’s doing!
So if you feel low today and lack the wherewithal to get up and go, stand strong, stand tall and declare along with the apostle and with Mike, “For when I am weak, then I am strong!”
God-tracking is fulfilling your Kingdom purposes by God’s empowering grace.

My strength is just not strong enough. But when I am weak then I need to depend on your strength to function in life. Only in Christ can I do all things! I commit my relationships and my work to you, O Lord. I acknowledge you in ALL my ways and trust that you will empower me to do it all, by your grace. Amen.”
