Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my
salvation; On You I wait all the day.
Satan’s fall was as a result of his attempt to supersede God. But he is just a
created being and not the Creator. Therefore, he was expelled from heaven and
became the enemy of the truth. Satan cannot create anything new; he can only
counterfeit what God has already created. This is evident in how he mimics and
distorts the truth of God’s word. In this instance, he has taken the truth of
the historical existence of Jesus and the relationship he had with his
disciples and distorted this truth with tabloid sensationalism, indicative of
our day and age.
In denying the resurrection, Satan attempts to cloud the truth of God’s grace
and his redemptive plan for man. Beware of such falsehood. The Bible warned us
about conspiracies like these thousands of years before these conspirators were
even born. We are told that those who teach false doctrine (like this) are
conceited and have an unhealthy interest in controversies resulting in envy,
strife, malicious talk and suspicions. But Jesus said, “If you hold to my
teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the
truth will set you free.”
So, if you’re bamboozled by the outlandish conspiracies you see on TV or
YouTube then let me encourage you to exercise the power of the finger… just switch
it off! Fix your mind on things of God and resist the controversies of the
father of lies. Walk with your face toward the light of God or you will stumble
in your own shadow. Be encouraged to test everything by the certainty of word
of God. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will keep you free.
God-tracking is walking in truth.
