“Our lifestyles, as followers of Christ, are based upon the principles, purposes and precedents laid out in God’s Word. Therefore, may we worship God in thanksgiving for this marvellous miraculous book, the Holy Bible.”

Psalm 119:103
How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Thank God for Bible! May we never take it for granted. The Bible is more than a book, it is a volum e of 66 different books, penned over a period of about1,500 years by 40 different people. Few of these people knew each other yet each writing confirms the other. The oldest writing is thought to be the book of Job, possibly penned almost 4,000 years ago and still, we can enjoy the auspicious privilege of holding it in our hands today.

The Holy Bible contains the written word of God, preserved through the millennia. The word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and joints and marrow, and discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart. The Word of God endures forever. Heaven and earth will pass away but the words of Christ will remain.

Get into the word of God and get the word of God into you. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly. Jesus said, “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” God’s Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Read it discerningly. Read it slowly. You have the rest of your life to read the Bible so read the Bible for the rest of your life.

Our lifestyles, as followers of Christ, are based upon the principles, purposes and precedents laid out in God’s Word. Therefore, may we worship God in thanksgiving for this marvellous miraculous book, the Holy Bible.

SO, DON’T GIVE UP, LOOK UP & PRAY

“It says in the Bible that you watch over your Word to perform it, So, dear Lord, perform your Word in my life.”

“Dear God thank you for the Bible. Thank you for inspiring people to pen your word to us and for preserving it over the millennia so that I may hold it in my hands today. Help me to understand what I read and help me to apply it to my daily walk. It says in the Bible that you watch over your Word to perform it, So, dear Lord, perform your Word in my life. Amen.”
