Don’t Give-up, Look-up!
The
e-Devotional helping to keep you on-track

September 2012
Dear God Tracker
God-Tracking Is Standing Sure in
God’s Plans for You
This e-devotional
is based on the fact that God knows the plans he has for our lives. That is, it
is indeed, he who knows these plans but we don’t; not until we seek them.
Therefore, in order for us to walk according to God’s plans we need to
acknowledge his knowledge of his plans for our lives, and then set out to track
them down as an expert tracker would track an impala through the African scrub.
What an exciting life this turns out to be for the scripture continues to say
that God’s plans are: “to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
However,
the Bible is also clear about the fact that holy living is not plain sailing.
Even the Apostle Paul battled with this dilemma. He said, “What I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I
do.” He also once pointed out that he had a proverbial thorn in his flesh that
he called, “…a messenger of Satan.” The bottom line is God does indeed have a
plan for your life but so does the devil. The devil’s plan for our lives is to
undermine the plans of God for our lives. Satan is our adversary and will do
anything to drag us away from the purposes of God, because he knows that the
purposes of God will bring more people into God’s light and confound the purposes
of his evil intent.
Dear God Tracker, if you have recently come to
Christ and feel like the bottom of your world is
falling out; or if you have been tracking God’s plans for some time only to
discover opposition at every turn, take heart, you’re not alone! In fact the
Bible says, “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will
never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
Though the Thief comes to kill, steal and destroy, Jesus has come to give you
an abundant life. And this is God’s
plan for you!
As you acknowledge the Lord in all you
do you can be strong in the purposes of God for your life no matter what the
opposition may be. So, keep your eyes on Jesus and, in faith, stand against the
lies of Satan. Remember, the one in you is far greater than the one in the
world!
God-tracking is standing sure in
God’s plans for you.
Keep your
eyes on Jesus.

Verse of the Week
Romans 8:37-39
No, in all these things we are more
than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death
nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor
any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will
be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Quote of the Week
A Sample of Dudley’s Fave
Quotes.
“When
the Lord gives you a sense of purpose, that purpose ruins you for anything
else. Nothing else will ever bring true peace, because peace is found only in
pursuing the purposes of God.” --- Brian
Houston
Don’t Give-up, Look-up!
Look-up and Fix Your Eyes On Jesus!
Nothing Will Separate Me from the Love of Christ
Romans 8:35
Who shall
separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution
or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
Pray
“Dear Lord, thank you so much for the plans you have
for my life. I reaffirm that you are my Lord and Saviour, O Jesus Christ, and I
acknowledge God in all my ways. Forgive me for taking my eyes off your plan for
me and looking at my difficult circumstances. I know the devil will do all he
can to derail me but I refuse to bow to his temptations and attacks. I fix my
eyes on Jesus and so stay on-track with your plans and purposes for all my
life, wherever they may take me. Help me through this time of trial and help me
to be strong, because I know, nothing
will separate me from the love of Christ. Amen!”
