“But when Jesus died the veil was ripped in two revealing the glory of God to all who would come to him in faith. Through Jesus, the veil is removed enabling you and me to embrace God’s presence.”

2 Corinthians 3:16
Nevertheless, when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

Accompanied by majestic music, the young bride slowly walked down the aisle arm in arm with her father. She looked beautiful. Her delicate white gown gently embraced her shoulders while a covering lace flourished to her ankles. Behind her flowed a long white train. The bride’s countenance was obscured by a soft white veil. Slowly, majestically, dad and daughter made their way to the altar to meet her groom, her radiant visage concealed to him. Through a veil dimly he gazed at her beauty. Reaching up, tears in his eyes, her father unveiled her face, kissed his daughter, and presented her to her husband. From that moment on the groom would be with his unveiled bride, embracing her presence.

When Moses descended from Mount Sinai after being in God’s presence for forty days his face was glowing. The sheer magnificence of the glory of the Lord Almighty had engulfed the man so that light radiated from his countenance. The people could not look at him. So, Moses covered his face with a veil. Moses had embraced the presence of the holy God such that God’s glory was evident in his face. To this day when Moses is read, a veil lies on their hearts. But when Jesus died the veil was ripped in two revealing the glory of God to all who would come to him in faith. Through Jesus, the veil is removed enabling you and me to embrace God’s presence.

Have you allowed the veil to be removed or are you standing concealed before the groom? Come to Jesus now and allow the Father to remove that veil. Open your heart and embrace God’s presence.

God-tracking is being uncovered in the presence of God.

SO, DON’T GIVE UP, LOOK UP & PRAY

“Help me to embrace your presence every day as I come to you exposed and unveiled.”

“Oh Lord, you are high and exalted. Your glory fills the earth. I desire to live in your perpetual presence. Forgive me for keeping the veil over my face. Today I rip it off. Jesus, you revealed the presence of God to us when you died on the cross. Today I confess you to be Lord of my life and believe that you died and rose again to remove the veil that covers my face. Help me to embrace your presence every day as I come to you exposed and unveiled. Amen.

“And the Father of lights gives perfect gifts to his children, in him there is no variation or shadow of turning. Jesus Christ is God’s perfect gift to you today.”

James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

God created mankind in his image. God is good – absolutely good – so mankind was originally created good. Sadly, man chose to turn away from God’s goodness in the garden and so the darkness of sin entered the world. Scripture tells us that God is light and in him, there is no darkness. Jesus, God’s Son, is called the Word of God. He was with God at creation and all things have been created through him, the Word of God. In him was life, and the life was the light of men and the light shines in the darkness.

God is called the Father of lights and, as a father, he gives his children perfect gifts. Jesus said, “If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Our Father in heaven loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Every Christmas we celebrate the coming of God’s only begotten son. The Creator who created us good has reconciled to his goodness through his good son. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin. That is, though he had a natural mother he was conceived without a natural father. God the good Creator is Jesus’ Father by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, Jesus is perfect. He is fully God, yet fully man. As God, Jesus is as we were when we were created – good and sinless. This is why he was able to die for sin and rise from the dead. Only by faith in his death and resurrection and by calling him Lord, can we be reconciled to the goodness of God and call him Father.

And the Father of lights gives perfect gifts to his children, in him there is no variation or shadow of turning. Jesus Christ is God’s perfect gift to you today

(If this message makes sense to you today, please pray the prayer below.)

God-tracking is calling on the Father of lights.

“I trust you, O Lord, to continue to do the good work that you began in me.”

“Dear God, I realise now that I have missed the mark of your perfect goodness. Forgive me for my sin. I turn away from darkness and turn to you, O Father of lights. Thank you for sending Jesus to pay for my sin. I believe he died for sin and rose from the dead to free me from darkness. I accept and confess Jesus Christ to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank you that you give me your Holy Spirit as I ask Jesus into my life. Amen.”

“Only fear the Lord and serve him in truth with all your heart. He has great things in store for you.”

1 Samuel 12:21
And do not turn aside; for then you would go after empty things which cannot profit or deliver, for they are nothing.

Andy was the pastor of a thriving church. Their youth and children’s works were touching lives while Sunday worship services were packed with God-hungry people. Andy was a mature man with good training for the ministry. However, he had one flaw in his character. Andy was never content with the vision God had given the church to reach the lost and disciple believers. Consequently, he made a unilateral decision to transform the church into a well-being business centre. Being a very persuasive person, he rallied his leadership team and presented a business plan to them that drew them to turn aside from the vision that God had given the church. Sadly, this church is now no more than a commercial enterprise, no longer reaching the lost and discipling believers.

Samuel was a man of integrity. He had been called by God when he was yet a child and judged God’s people well for many prosperous years. However, the Israelites became discontent with simply being led by a judge and called for Samuel to anoint a king over the nation. They desired to be like their neighbours. Samuel insisted that God was their king but they were dissatisfied and turned aside from God’s vision. Samuel said, “You would go after empty things which cannot profit or deliver, for they are nothing. Only fear the Lord and serve him. Consider what great things he has done for you. But if you still do wickedly, you shall be swept away, both you and your king.” Sadly, they did not listen to Samuel’s counsel. Thus began the demise of the people of God.

The Lord says to you today, “I know the plans I have for you. Plans for your peace and security; a future filled with hope. However, if you turn aside and go after empty things which cannot profit or deliver, they will come to nothing.” Only fear the Lord and serve him in truth with all your heart. He has great things in store for you. If you refuse to run after empty things then he who began a good work in you will bring it on to completion.

God-tracking is staying true to God’s plans.

“Dear Lord, I am sorry for turning aside from the vision you gave me, in pursuit of worldly enterprise. I repent of chasing after empty things and turning from following your plan for my life. Thank you that you are faithful even when I am not. Thank you that your plans are still in your heart for me. Help to seek and track the plans and visions that you know you have for me.
