Dear God Tracker

Not Even Death Can Separate You from God’s Purposes

John Harper was a young minister who boarded the fateful Titanic bound for New York City on 10th April 1912 with his 6-year old daughter. When the ship struck the iceberg and began to sink, Harper made sure his daughter was placed into one of the lifeboats. He then began what would be the last evangelistic work of his young life.

As freezing waters filled the ship, Harper was heard shouting, "Let the women, children and the unsaved into the lifeboats." Survivors reported that Harper took off his own life jacket and gave it to another man. "Don't worry about me," he said, "I'm not going down; I'm going up!"

Out in the freezing Atlantic Harper was seen swimming from one passenger to another as they clung to debris in the waves, pleading with them to accept Christ. "Are you saved?" he called to one man. "No," the man replied. Harper then shouted the words from Scripture: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." He then slipped under the waves for the last time. Then and there, the man he had witnessed to decided to turn his life over to Christ. This man’s testimony has impacted many, many lives since.

John Harper experienced the call of God on his life. He was young, yet knew God’s word to him was to preach the good news. And Harper knew that God would watch over his own word and that nothing – not even a shipwreck – could strip him of that calling. Even as he breathed his last, John Harper breathed God’s word; a word watched over by the Holy Spirit.

Have you sensed God’s call on your life? Have you had a word from the Lord that he has plans for you; plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future? Then hold onto that word and rest easy. God’s word will not return to him without fulfilling his plans for you. The Lord watches over his word to fulfill it. Not even death can separate you from God’s purposes.

God-tracking is trusting God to guard his word.

Ever blessing

Dudley

Verse of the Week

Jeremiah 1:12
The LORD said to me, "You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled."

Quote of the Week

A Sample of Dudley’s Fave Quotes.

“A man without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder--a waif, a nothing, a no man. Have a purpose in life, and, having it, throw such strength of mind and muscle into your work as God has given you.” --- Thomas Carlyle.

Don’t Give-up, Look-up!

Look-up and Fix Your Eyes On Jesus!

Achieve the Purpose for Which You Have Called Me

Isaiah 55:11
…so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Pray
“O my Lord, I know that you have called me. I believe that you have given me a ministry and a work to do. I am sorry for doubting your call when the waves mount up and difficulties come. Today I choose to put my faith in you to watch over your calling – your ministry – upon my life. It’s not up to me to defend your word, O God. So I rest in your power and your love for me to achieve the purpose for which you have called me. Amen.”
