The e-Inspirational helping to keep you on-track

Dear God-tracker
GOD-TRACKING IS MAKING CHOICES IN GOD
If you were able to ask the legendary Luciano Pavarotti how he
became one of the greatest tenors of the 20th century he would tell
you this story: "When I was a boy, my father, a baker, introduced me to
the wonders of song. He urged me to work very hard to develop my voice. Arrigo
Pola, a professional tenor in my hometown of Modena, Italy, took me as a pupil.
I also enrolled in a teachers college. On graduating, I asked my father, 'Shall
I be a teacher or a singer?' My father replied, 'Luciano, if you try to sit on
two chairs, you will fall between them. For life, you must choose one chair.'
The great tenor then would tell you of how he gave up the secure future of a singing teacher to take to the stage. It took seven years of study and frustration before he made his first professional appearance and another seven years to reach the Metropolitan Opera. Finally he’d add, “And now I think whether it's laying bricks, writing a book -- whatever we choose -- we should give ourselves to it. Commitment, that's the key. Choose one chair and sit on it."

As you and I seek to track the plans of God for our lives we are
often faced with the dilemma of choice. As Believers it is essential that we
make our life choices based upon remaining within God’s explicit will. One
thing I have personally discovered is this: the will of God is always a place
of peace and security but not always a comfortable place to be (ask any
missionary). Therefore the right choice
may not always be the most lucrative or the most physically comfortable option.
However, if you truly acknowledge the Lord in every choice you make and seek
his guidance in faith then you will choose according to his perfect will for
you. And God’s will, will result in your blessing; the blessing of God brings
success, always.
Dear God Tracker, know this that God has a deliberate, exclusive,
designer purpose for you and your family. He knew you before you were born, he
knows the day you’ll breathe your last and everything between. So if you’re
facing choices today be sure to fix your eyes on Jesus, the author of your
faith. Then acknowledge God in prayer and before others. And then go ahead,
choose one chair and sit on it! After all, this is what God-tracking is all
about.

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the
joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

A Sample of Dudley’s Fave Quotes
“The
will of God is never exactly what you expect it to be. It may seem to be
much worse, but in the end it's going to be a lot better and a lot bigger.”

Don’t Give Up, Look Up!
Look up and
Fix Your Eyes on Jesus!
I want to only ever follow your perfect plan for me
and my family
Pray:
“My Lord, I’m in a dilemma. I am faced
with some options for the future, as you know, and seek your will for the
choice I’m about to make. I choose firstly to acknowledge the fact that you
have knowledge of my future and, therefore, I acknowledge you in this choice
I’m about to make. I confess your lordship over my life and humbly submit to
your explicit purpose for me. I lift my eyes off of the problem and look up to
Jesus as author of my life. I seek your blessing – that is, your endorsement –
upon this option that I face today. If this is not of you, O God Almighty, then
take it from me and remove the desire from my heart. I want to only ever
follow your perfect plan for me and for my family. Help me make this choice
now. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
