What people have said about God-tracking Through the Year…
“This
book is definitely filled with ‘practical spirituality’ - quite an unusual
quality for a Christian book. With ideas in it that can be put into practice
immediately and effectively.”
“A
sublime collection of inspirational devotionals, that will leave you knowing
that you are on the right track and in total alignment with God's will.”

Dear God-tracker
A while
back I was driving home one afternoon thinking about my life (as one does). I
was thinking about my family, my work my past and the prospects of my future
when suddenly it dawned on me that it seemed as though I was tracing the
outline of a picture of my life through old fashioned tracing paper. You know
the type I’m talking about. It’s sort of greyish in colour and slightly
transparent. I used tracing paper when I was a child for school projects. I’d
find a good picture for my project and place the tracing paper over the picture
and then, armed with an FF pencil, I’d trace the dim outline of the picture
that I could see through the tracing paper and then transfer it to my project.
Nowadays, of course, kids simply copy and paste and print from the World Wide
Web.
But the
more I thought about this analogy the more I began to realise that if I could
see my whole life laid out neatly before my eyes from beginning to end, with
all the details in place, then what part would faith play in the great scheme
of God’s masterpiece of who I am. And without faith we cannot please God. Faith
is required to seek and track God’s plans as you might do using a pencil to
trace the outline of an image through tracing paper. Faith looks forward to
God’s reward; faith anticipates God’s provision and faith cements things hoped
for. The Apostle Paul once said, “For
now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but
then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.” Indeed, we live by faith and not by sight!
Does it
ever seem as though you’re looking at your life through tracing paper; as
though all you can see is a basic dim outline of the image before you? You do
believe that God has painted a masterpiece of who you are but from where you’re
standing all you can see are greyed out and obscured outlines. Ultimately,
the Lord does have your life’s track clearly laid down before you, but until
you trace every step by faith, you
will not discover the beauty of the image of the masterpiece called you.
Happy God-tracking

Sample of Dudley’s Fave Quotes
“The
way of faith is necessarily obscure. We drive by night.” --- Thomas Merton
I make a conscious decision now to take one
day at a time and believe that you will help me trace my life’s track by faith
and not by sight
“O Lord,
sometimes I get so frustrated with life because I cannot see the wood for the
trees. It seems that all I can see before me are greyed out borders and
obscured details. But I now know that I have been using my own reason in
planning my life instead of simply committing my ways to you and then walking
in faith. Dear Lord, I make a conscious decision now to take one day at a time
and believe that you will help me trace my life’s track by faith and not by
sight. For your glory. Amen.”
