Matthew 5:10
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

God-tracking is standing sure with humble confidence.
I believe the time has come when we who believe in the scruples and absolutes of God’s word are being attacked for the ethics of our faith. I believe the era of true freedom of Christian belief has come to an end. But we are encouraged by Jesus’ words when he said, “If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, the world hates you.” And he said, “In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Perhaps you’re facing opposition for your confession of God’s word today. It could be you’ve been accused of being dogmatic about a moral biblical precept. Or maybe you’re being ridiculed for your flat-line approach to a moral issue at work, at home or on the street. If that’s you, then let me encourage you to harbour no hidden selfish agenda in your heart and always walk in truth! God always vindicate the truth because Jesus is the Truth!

Remain sure of your convictions and walk in humble truth.

God-tracking is standing sure with humble confidence.

God-confidence places reliance on God’s grace, and grace is God’s doing. His grace is all the qualifications you will ever need to fulfil your God-given opportunities.”

2 Chronicles 15:7
But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.

Joe stepped into the open-plan office space of his new company. It was only his second day on the job. Though he was very grateful for the opportunity and knew he was qualified, he lacked confidence. His desk was situated three-quarters of the way across the large room. He had to pass at least four other workstations to get to his chair. Though one person gave him a fleeting welcome wave, every head was down, already engrossed in the activities of the new day. Even so, Joe felt as though every eye was fixed on him. Quickly, he crossed the floor to his desk and sat down.

Confidence is an elusive virtue. Sometimes it flows with unabated gush, yet sometimes it lurks in the recesses of one’s soul like a shy mouse afraid of the light of morning. One thing I have learnt over the years is that self-confidence is fleeting, because self-confidence puts confidence in self – the ego. To be securely confident, I need to not be self-confident but God-confident. God-confidence places reliance on God’s grace, and grace is God’s doing. His grace is all the qualifications you will ever need to fulfil your God-given opportunities.

So, don’t throw away your confidence, it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere at every new opportunity so that when you have done what God has called you to do you will receive the fulfilment of all he has promised you. As Corrie Ten Boom said, “I believe that God delights to use his children in the fulfilment of his plans for the world. I am sure he loves to use small people to do great things.”

God-tracking is revelling in his rich grace for your confidence.

I choose not throw away my confidence but persevere in the promises of your word to me.”

“My Lord, I realise now that I can only be confident in your purposes and your grace for my life. Therefore, I want to surrender every aspect of my life to you today: my work, my relationships, my church life, my sports, my recreation and my most private life. I put my confidence in God and not self, believing that you have promised to make me a success in all that I do. I choose not throw away my confidence but to persevere in the promises of your word to me. For your glory, Lord. Amen.”

Be confident of this, the Lord will never abandon you. He will work out his plans for your life, for his faithful love endures forever.”

Psalm 138:8 (NLT)
The Lord will work out his plans for my life—for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.

GodTracker is a Christian motivational thought purposed to help you seek and track the plans that God has
for you. Scripture makes it plain that God does have a plan for your life; you’re predestined according to the purpose of the One who works all things according to the counsel of his will. If you personally acknowledge God in all your ways then he will work out his plans for your life because he loves you and he is faithful. The underlying confirmation of this fact is the reality of who God is.

God is omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent and eternal. That is, he is all-knowing, ever-present, all-powerful and without end. This means the one you acknowledge as Lord of your life knows you personally. If you’re a true Christian believer then you have acknowledged Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. Because he is omniscient, the indwelling Holy Spirit knows us all better than we know ourselves. Being omnipresent he is in your company at this moment as he is in mine; his presence encompasses every believer worldwide. Since he is omnipotent, he has the power to meet your needs, heal your body and purpose your life’s track according to the plans he has for you. And God is eternal – he exists simultaneously in time, past, present and future. Your personal Lord and Saviour is already in your tomorrow preparing your life’s track and meeting your needs.

So, you can absolutely put your trust in him. If you continue to acknowledge God in every aspect of your life and seek first his purposes then all you will ever need for life and living will be added to you. Be confident of this, the Lord will never abandon you. He will work out his plans for your life, for his faithful love endures forever.

God-tracking is confidently trusting God.

“If we acknowledge the Lord in all our ways and put our hope in him (not man) then we can trust him to direct our paths without leaning on human understanding.”

2 Chronicles 16:9
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him

King Asa was king of Judah. David’s kingdom had split in two, Israel to the north and Judah to the south. Asa’s heart was originally set on serving the God of David but, sadly, when Baasha, king of Israel, came up against Asa, Asa did not seek the leading of God but sought the support of the king of Syria in his stand against Baasha. So, God sent his prophet, Hanani, to confront the king. “Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and have not relied on the Lord your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped from your hand,” he said to the king. Previously, when the Ethiopians and the Libyans came against Asa he sought the Lord and he was victorious, However, now, due to his lack in seeking God, Asa would face a life of conflict. Thus was the demise of Asa, king of Judah.

Asa put his confidence in the guidance of man instead of the guidance of God. He had forgotten how the Lord his God had intervened and delivered him in the past. In his attempt to impress man, he ignored the counsel of his Lord. Asa foolishly believed that Ben-hadad king of Syria would help him in his struggle. Indeed, Asa was victorious over Baasha, king of Israel, but, due to his infidelity toward his God, he lost the favour of the Lord and suffered debilitating wars until the end of his reign. Asa failed miserably for not trusting in his Lord.

God’s word to us today is, let us trust in the guidance and support of the Lord our God and not that of man. Too many times we seek the counsel of man over the counsel of the Lord. Your Lord knows your future (he is already in your tomorrow) and he knows the plans he has for you; plans for a future and a hope. So, let’s seek his will for every decision we make through prayer and Scripture. If we acknowledge the Lord in all our ways and put our hope in him (not man) then we can trust him to direct our paths without leaning on human understanding.

God-tracking is seeking God’s counsel above all.

“Yet, there are those times when we cry out to God in faith but he remains silent. This is where faith gives way to trust. Faith is confidence in God’s action while trust is confidence in God’s inaction.”

Psalm 37:23,24 (KJV)
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

Corrie Ten Boom said, “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” I have personally found there is a difference between trusting God and having faith in God. Have no doubt, faith pleases God and we need to walk in faith. But trust is slightly different to faith.

Scripture tells us that faith is the confidence in things hoped for. The word hope implies things yet to come. Indeed, faith is confidence that God will hear our cries for help for those things that we yet need. The scriptures make it plain that God will meet our needs and heal our bodies. God has promised to meet all our needs when we pray in faith, and he does. Yet, there are those times when we cry out to God in faith but he seems to remain silent. This is where faith gives way to trust. Faith is confidence in God’s action while trust is confidence in God’s inaction.

God-tracking is based on the fact that God has plans for our lives. To follow God’s plans, we need to seek his will. To walk in God’s will we need to acknowledge God in all our ways. When we do this, we relinquish control of our lives to the Lord’s direction. Our God is high and exalted. Our God is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. He is our sovereign Majesty. His character is supreme, his power unlimited and his will is paramount. Therefore, we can trust that he is in control. You can trust the Lord with all your hearts and not lean on your own understanding, even when it seems he is silent.

So, whatever dilemma you are facing today, call on him and have faith that God will act on your behalf. And when it seems he does not act, simply trust him. He is in control, always. And we know that all things work together for good for those who are called according to his purpose.

God-tracking is trusting God knows what he is doing

Therefore, I will simply trust that you are in control and that you will meet my needs in your time, just in time

I do have faith, O God, that you will meet my needs as I make my requests with thanksgiving. You are faithful and you will do it. However, I see no action, yet. GOD-TRACKING IS WALKING IN GOD’S HIGH ESTEEM

GodTracker 718
The e-devotional helping to keep you on track with God’s plans for your life. GodTracker is published at http://godtracker.co.uk

“God-tracking does not build strength in the ego but strength in the spirit, where the Lord dwells. Therefore, dear God Tracker, to be confident and successful in every way, do not be self-confident; be God-confident.”

Psalm 71:5
For you have been my hope, O Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth.

When I was a child, I was extremely introverted and shy. Having a brother 6 years my senior and no opportunity to interact with children of my own age made for a very lonely early childhood. When I was 9, I took up tennis. Thankfully this brought opportunity to relate to other children of my own age group, outside of school. However, although I became a fair tennis player, I would fall apart whenever I played a serious match. As a child, I had zero self-confidence.

Through high school, my self-esteem reduced even further. With only a hand full of friends I kept pretty much to myself. My invisibleness at school became evident to me a few years ago when I bumped into a woman who had gone to high school with me. I knew her well but when I said hello to her, she had no idea who I was. As a teenager, I had zero self-confidence.

It was only after I left school and was married that I began to realise that I had a problem with my self-esteem. By now the Lord had opened an opportunity for me as a worship leader and I found myself on stage behind a guitar, singing in front of a few hundred folks! One day while I was leading worship, I lost the rhythm of the song I was playing. It happened during a rather deep and gentle worship song. I was so embarrassed that I wished the wall behind me would come to my rescue and fall on me. Needless to say, it didn’t and the whole worship time was drastically reduced to a mix of dead-air and red faces. In an instant, I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit within me, “Who are you more afraid of, these people or me?” In my mind, I said, “Lord, I deeply revere you, but I’m not embarrassed in front of you. Why, I even sing in front of you in the shower!”

From that day on I realised that my self-esteem should not rest in my “self” after all. In fact, I realised that my “self” was ego and for me to have confidence in my ego was… well… not right, to say the least. I began to understand the Apostle Paul’s words when he said to the Corinthians, “I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling,” and then went on to say, “My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power.”  And in Philippians, he says, “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”

What a valuable and, dare I say, relieving lesson to learn. Thank God that I don’t need to build self-confidence anymore. In fact, the Bible says that when we are weak then we are strong. You see, God-tracking does not build strength in the ego but strength in the spirit, where the Lord dwells. Therefore, dear God Tracker, to be confident and successful in every way, do not be self-confident; be God-confident. As Dwight Moody said, “Trust in yourself and you are doomed to disappointment; ...but trust in God, and you are never to be confounded in time or eternity.”

God-tracking is walking in God’s high esteem.

DON’T GIVE UP, LOOK UP & PRAY

Dear Lord, help me to build God-confidence

“O my Lord and my Father, thank you so much that you see and know me exactly as I am. I have nothing to hide from you. I stand before you weak and lacking in self-esteem. However, I know now that my esteem needs to be in you and not in me. Dear Lord, help me to build God-confidence. You are my strength; you are my esteem and Lord; you are my success in all walks of life. I am never embarrassed before you so help me to deal with my fears of man. I choose to die to self that I may live by faith in Christ who died for me. You are my strength, and my confidence is in you. Amen.”

Dear God-tracker

GOD-TRACKING IS PUTTING YOUR CONFIDENCE IN GOD AND REFUSING TO GIVE UP!

1 Thessalonians 5:24
He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.

My little grandson lay on a small bed in the ICU of the children’s hospital. Pipes and cables coming from his little body, this tiny 3-week-old was connected to machines that both monitored his vital signs and sustained his life. A few days prior Ruben was rushed to hospital, gravely ill. Convulsing violently, the doctors tried to reduce his body temperature, to no avail. His little body was trembling, but not a sound came from his mouth. Suddenly my wife and I and Ruben’s parents were hastily ushered out of the small cubical, as an emergency team rushed in with resuscitation equipment. Ruben had stopped breathing. My son and his wife held each other, sobbing. Karen and I stood by a window gazing at the children’s play area outside. “Dear God, we rebuke this illness. We rebuke this death. You are the Lord our healer. Your word has instructed us to lay hands on the sick; this we’ve done. We claim Ruben’s life and healing, in Jesus’ name!”

From the start of his illness, we prayed for Ruben’s healing. The scriptures tell us that God is our healer. The Bible says that if we lay hands on the sick, they will recover. It also says that a prayer of faith shall make the sick person well. Well, Karen and I and Ruben’s parents were praying that prayer of faith. We stood on God’s Word without wavering.

Ruben was resuscitated and subsequently rushed off to the Intensive Care Unit at a children’s hospital in another town. I could tell the doctors were very concerned for him. The ICU staff were set in for the long hall in caring for little Ruben. But we had prayed! Twenty-four hours after he was admitted to ICU my grandson opened his eyes. A few days later he was on his way home. Our God is the Lord who heals!

Faith outs its confidence in the other. When one climbs aboard an aeroplane one does not have faith in his own skills to fly the craft but places his complete confidence in the one he cannot see, he who is both skilled and willing to raise him together with a couple of hundred other people, 33 thousand feet above the ground and then land them safely again at their destination. As Corrie Ten Boom said, “Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable and receives the impossible.” Faith in God is confidence in his power and willingness to meet our needs, heal our sick and guide our every footstep along our life’s track.

Whatever obstacle you’re facing today; whatever your need, be it healing, provision or guidance, stand on God’s Word without wavering. He is faithful and he will do it!

God-tracking is putting your confidence in God and refusing to give up!

Every blessing

Dudley
