GOD-TRACKING IS NOT GIVING UP AFTER THE FIRST HALF
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away;
behold, the new has come.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away;
behold, the new has come.
I don’t know if Jesus enjoyed sport but I do read of one occasion when he and his family attended a wedding. In Bible times and in Jewish culture, weddings were big events. Sometimes the celebrations would go on for days. As with modern day weddings, it was important to ensure the catering was adequate for the event. This wedding had probably been going on for some time, however, the hosts had under catered; they had run out of wine. Jesus’ mum hears the servants nattering and, after mentioning the dilemma to Jesus, turns to them and says, “Do whatever he tells you.” Jesus called for six large stone water jars and instructed the servants to fill them with water. “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast,” Jesus said. Miraculously the plain water had been turned into excellent wine. The wedding host called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, but you have kept the good until last.” Just when they thought all was lost, Jesus came back in the second half of the feast and won the day.
The Lord has a plan for your life. Though you may feel you’ve not seen any significant results, I tell you, the game is not yet over. You see, I don’t believe God gives us second chances; I believe God gives us new beginnings. The whistle has blown. It’s kick-off into the second half and you’re headlong into winning the match. God has a new beginning for you; the best is yet to come! Play with all your might and watch how Jesus will turn your game around. Jesus can turn your water into wine. Jesus can turn your mediocrity into excellence. So, continue to acknowledge the Lord in all your ways and go on to win the game.

DON’T GIVE UP, LOOK UP & PRAY
I acknowledge in all I do and trust you will turn my mediocrity into excellence
“O Lord, I feel as though I have lost the game. I have been serving you for so many years but don’t seem to see the results. I know that in you, my labour is never in vain. And yet, I feel there’s more to come. Take my work; take my relationships take my ambitions and help me achieve what you purpose for me. I repent of all wrongdoing and failure and seek you for a new beginning. Just as the wine that Jesus created in the second half of the wedding at Cana was better than the wine served in the first half, so I believe you have saved the best for last, in my life. I acknowledge in all I do and trust you will turn my mediocrity into excellence. Amen.”
