GOD-TRACKING IS BOLDLY SPEAKING OUT HIS WORD

Isaiah 55:11so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

“God is God and he has the sovereign authority to guard his own Word. All he calls us to do is boldly speak.”

Two of my heroes of faith are Moses and Jeremiah. Both men became great prophets for God. Moses was used by God to deliver his people from captivity under the Egyptians, while Jeremiah was used by God to warn his people that they would be taken captive by the Babylonians. Both men had daunting tasks and were subject to severe abuse by the people they served. Both men boldly proclaimed the Word of God with power and authority. However, the one characteristic of both men that impresses me the most is, both guys were reluctant missionaries, yet they both submitted to God’s auspicious call to boldly speak his Word.

When God called Moses, Moses offered many reasons why he couldn’t do what God asked of him. He said, “Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.” Moses probably had a speech impediment and was, by nature, introvert. Jeremiah had a similar complaint: “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.” In both cases God graciously assures his men that he will make a way for them to boldly carry his Word.

Has the Lord called you? Do you feel less than qualified to fulfil his purposes? God-tracking is about seeking and tracking God’s plans for our lives. Sometimes, those plans involve standing up in the face of popular opinion to unashamedly proclaim his Word. Under the current anti-Christian climate in the world, this can be a daunting task. But, God is faithful, and he has promised you (as he promised Jeremiah) that he will watch over his Word on your lips, to perform it. You see, it’s not up to us to defend God’s Word or the principles of Scripture. God is God and he has the sovereign authority to guard his own Word. All he calls us to do is boldly speak.

God-tracking is boldly speaking out God’s Word

DON’T GIVE UP, LOOK UP & PRAY

Thank you for the courage to open my mouth and boldly speak your Word

“Dear Lord, forgive me for being reluctant to proclaim your Word in my community. You know my weaknesses; I subject them to your strength, O Lord. Thank you that you have promised to put your words in my mouth. Help me to boldly proclaim the truths of the Scriptures and to stand up in the integrity of your calling. I trust that you will watch over your Word to perform it. I believe your Word will not return to you empty. Thank you for the courage to open my mouth and boldly speak your Word. Amen.”
