Hold on; never give up. Continue to acknowledge God in every aspect of your life and have faith that he will direct your path.”

Job 42:2 (NIV)
“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.”

The concept of God-tracking implies seeking and tracking the plans and purposes of God for your life. The scripture makes it plain that God knows the plans he has for you and that all things will work out according to God’s purpose. We can trust God’s plans. His plans are always Plan A. Though it may seem to you that God changes his mind, God has no plan B for your life. If you acknowledge the Lord in every aspect of your life, you can rest assured that he will direct your path according to the plans that he knows he has for you; plans for a future filled with hope for wholeness, peace and success. That said, I’m sure you’ll agree that there are times in life when it seems that God’s plan A appears to have been thwarted.

Years back, when I was studying for the ministry, I was involved in a small local church as the worship leader. It was a stable growing church led by a seemingly solid man. However, one day, the pastor came up with a new plan that required all the elders of the church to become fully qualified and ordained ministers. He promptly demolished the leadership of the church, leaving himself as the sole leader. However, my position as worship leader still entitled me to a humble leadership position within the church. Sadly, this pastor was dissatisfied with this fact and set about to falsely accuse me of attempting to rally support to take over the church. This could not have been further from the truth. As a Bible student, I viewed my pastor as my mentor and was in complete submission to his authority. Unfortunately, after several months of discord and dissension, because of false accusations, the church closed. Here I was, studying for the ministry and believing God had a plan for my life, yet I was now churchless and directionless. Was God’s plan A for me thwarted?

In his grace and foreknowledge, God led us to a new church led by a man of integrity. Submitting to his oversight, I continued studying for the ministry. God’s plan A resumed. I was promoted to music director of this new church, which was much larger and more established than my former church. However, the next three years proved to be the most gruelling years for Karen and me. Due to financial difficulty and my ignorant choices, my marriage almost failed. If it weren’t for the pastor of our new church, I firmly believe that  I would be divorced, out of the ministry and far from God today. God knew the plan he had for me. His Plan A was never thwarted.

Your Lord can do all things. He has a plan for your life and all things will work out for your good according to his exclusive purpose for your life. So, hold on; never give up. Continue to acknowledge God in every aspect of your life and walk by faith believing that he will direct your path according to his plan A.

God-tracking is never losing sight of God’s plan A.

SO, DON’T GIVE UP, LOOK UP & PRAY

“I choose to continue following your plan A and trust that you will direct my footsteps every step of the way, through thick and thin.”

“O Lord, I’m sorry for taking my eyes off you and looking down at my feet. I choose to not give up but look up and acknowledge you in every aspect of my life – my work, my ministry, my relationships, my finances and my choices for the future. I know you have a plan for my life. I know all things are possible for you and your plans are never thwarted. So, I choose to continue following your plan A and trust that you will direct my footsteps every step of the way, through thick and thin. Amen.

The Lord has not forgotten you and has not forgotten his promises to you. He who promised is faithful and he will be faithful to you as you faithfully continue to trust Him.”

Hebrews 10:36
For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise

There are myriad Christian brothers and sisters enduring persecution around the world: homes ransacked, families ostracised, churches raised to the ground, men and women beaten, abused and killed for the simple belief that Jesus, the Son of God, is the Way, the Truth and the Life. A sad reality that has existed since the foundation of the Church of Jesus Christ. Paul the apostle was insulted, stoned and imprisoned for his confession of Jesus as Lord and Saviour. As he exhorted us to pray for him while he was an ambassador in chains, so we pray for those who are suffering for their faith today.

You may not find yourself in such a predicament. However, you may be enduring difficulty or strife under circumstances not of your making. As with those who are persecuted for their faith, we know that our opponent is no man. Rather, we battle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers and spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places. That is, our fight is with Satan, not man. In fact, Jesus commanded us to love our enemies and do good to those who persecute us. So, put on the full armour of God and prayerfully take your stand against your real enemy. He is a defeated foe. Jesus triumphed over him at Calvary.

Patient endurance is what you need today so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. Whatever you are facing, don’t give up, look up and keep tracking God’s plans for your life. Now is the time for stickability and patient endurance. The Lord has not forgotten you and has not forgotten his promises to you. He who promised is faithful and he will faithfully strengthen you as you faithfully continue to trust Him.

God-tracking is faithful endurance.

SO, DON’T GIVE UP, LOOK UP & PRAY

“Help me to love those who insult me while I don the whole armour of God and take my stand against the real enemy of my soul.”

“Dear Lord, I find myself in a predicament today. I don’t know which way to turn. Opposition has come against me from every angle and I’m exhausted from trying to withstand the attack. So, I surrender now to your faithful grace and seek your strength to endure. I know it’s not going to be by my might or power that I will overcome but only by the power of your Holy Spirit in me. Help me to love those who insult me while I don the whole armour of God and take my stand against the real enemy of my soul. Amen!”
